BUMBLEance provides the first ambulance service in the world , designed and tailored exclusively for children

BUMBLEance, is the official Children’s National Ambulance Service of Ireland, providing safe and comfortable transportation for Ireland’s youngest patients between their home and children’s hospitals, hospices, national paediatric treatment centres, and respite centres. Because they understand how stressful it is to transport a sick child, BUMBLEance is with families every step of the way, with the comfort and safety of the children as our #1 priority.

It was with anticipation , that Tony Heffernan,  CEO and founder of the saoirse Foundation,  took deliver of their first AUVS UV light box, from Rodney Cadden, Founder of Hytech.ie.

As outlined by Rodney Cadden “We wanted to marry together technology that Hytech supply to the market, with a charity that can readily use in their day to day activities“.

The AUVS was ideally suited to fit into the ambulance and disinfect items such as TV / DVD/ play station controllers, to more conventional medical items such as blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, etc.

The units have been validated to kill HAIs bacteria such as MRSA and also C Defile among other pathogens.

As stated by Tony Heffernan “we look forward to building a relationship with Hytech, and looking at their many other technologies in the future“.
